KSR Today: Amoore’s 43, Jasper’s homecoming, Kentucky MBB updates, and more
Good morning, Big Blue Nation. Are you feeling any better yet? Saturday certainly sucked, with the loss to Arkansas and all of the misery around it, like Reed Sheppard’s heel turn and the first Quad 2 loss on Kentucky’s tournament resume. The Wildcats need to steal one at Ole Miss tomorrow to relieve some of the pain around losing to John Calipari in Rupp Arena.
On Sunday, Kentucky WBB brought smiles to BBN with another fun win in league play. Let’s start there in our Monday rundown to start this new week off on the right foot.
Georgia Amoore dropped 43 points in Kentucky WBB’s win at #13 Oklahoma
had an unforgettable Sunday in Norman, Oklahoma, where she tied the school record for points in a single game in win at 13th-ranked Oklahoma. Amoore scored 43 points in Kentucky’s 95-86 win over the Sooners, tying Jennifer O’Neill (2013) and Rhyne Howard (2020) in the record book. Amoore made 15 of 22 shots from the field, including seven 3-pointers, with eight assists.
Kentucky WBB is 19-2 (8-1) in Kenny Brooks’ first season
With the ranked road win, the Wildcats moved to 19-2 and 8-1 in 2024-25, an incredible start to the Kenny Brooks era. They have the week off before traveling to Ole Miss next Monday for a game on ESPN2.
