Roman Reigns returns to gaming glory as WWE 2K25 cover star
The Head of the Table is once again the face of WWE’s popular video game series.
Roman Reigns reclaimed his position as the head of his family’s table with a victory over Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat earlier this month. After Paul Heyman’s recent announcement on Raw, the Tribal Chief is once again the face of WWE’s video game franchise.
On Monday night, Reigns’ “Wise Man” showed up at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena to break the news to gamers and the WWE Universe.
“As irony would have it,” Heyman began, “I’m the one behind the one. The one GOAT: greatest of all time. The one and only Tribal Chief. And the one who represents WWE and the entire Island of Relevancy on the cover of WWE 2K25.”
After a burst of pyro, a banner featuring Reigns’ cover dropped from the rafters. It shows him in a familiar stance, preparing to deliver a Superman punch. Over his left shoulder is another image of Reigns gazing ahead as if he’s making eye contact with the viewer. At the bottom, Heyman strikes his iconic prayer pose, honoring the OTC.
Reigns, who previously appeared on the cover of WWE 2K20 with Becky Lynch, shared his new cover on social media, along with a special “Bloodline Edition” featuring members of both his and Solo Sikoa’s versions of the Bloodline on one family tree.
“Wherever I go, I will make sure my Bloodline is with me,” Reigns wrote on X.
In addition, a new video was released to hype the game, highlighting Reigns’ rise to power, his downfall at WrestleMania XL, and his rivalry with Sikoa. The nearly two-minute clip ends with a potential hint at Reigns’ on-screen future.
As the video progresses, Heyman declares, “Like a phoenix, rising from the ashes…” Moments later, a message flashes on screen: “It’s time to take on all challengers. To take it to new heights.” The next to final message read, “To win it back,” as Reigns is shown holding the WWE and Universal Championships in the game.
Last year, Cody Rhodes appeared on with the game’s theme inspired by his mantra, “Finish the story.” Three months later, Rhodes completed his journey by defeating Reigns for the Undisputed Title at WrestleMania.
If the marketing for WWE 2K24 served as a spoiler for Rhodes’ future, the 2025 edition suggests a very promising year for the Tribal Chief.
