NBA Fans Are Impressed By Bronny James’ Dominant Outing In G League

Bronny James dazzled for the South Bay Lakers in their 122-110 win over Rip City Remix at the UCLA Health Training Center on Friday. James recorded a career-high 31 points (10-22 FG) to go with two rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and NBA fans were impressed by his performance.
“In 2/3 years I think he’s gonna be a good role player in the NBA, just needs time,” one fan thinks
“Bronny haters mad quiet,” one fan
“Way too good for the G League,” one fan reckons
“I’m proud of him, dude has game. It just has to translate in the NBA. He will get there,” one fan is proud of Bronny.
“The future is bright,” one fan believes the future is bright for Bronny.
While there was a lot to like about Bronny’s performance, there was one moment that stood out. In the third quarter, the 20-year-old drove to the basket and threw down a monstrous poster dunk.
That was impressive and Bronny appears to be getting more and more confident on the court now. It’s still way too early to declare that he is going to become a success in the NBA but it’s great to see him play this well in the G League. He struggled in his first few games in the Tip-Off Tournament but has seemingly found his footing.
Crucially for Bronny, that outside shot is starting to fall now. He went 5-11 from beyond the arc against Rip City Remix and if he can start hitting that three-pointer on a consistent basis, it’d greatly increase his chances of being a pretty good NBA player.
James, who was selected with the 55th pick of the 2024 NBA Draft by the , was all smiles after this game, and understandably so. In his , he stated he has been trying to learn as much as he can and is also being himself.
“I’m just trying to get my confidence back, that’s all,” Bronny said. “I’m just trying to go out, play my game, learn from every game, while I’m not playing in the G, learning from the Lakers, learning from my vets, and just keep trying to be myself. That’s been working recently, so I’m happy with my results right now.”
Bronny, who was playing his first G League game since Dec. 21, also stated he is having fun on the court.
“I am having fun,” Bronny stated. “Any time I’m playing basketball, any time I’m out here breathing, any time I’m out here walking, I’m having fun… I’m grateful for everything that was given to me.”
Bronny is now averaging 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in the regular season for the South Bay Lakers while shooting 45.8% from beyond the arc. Those are the kind of numbers you’d have wanted to see from him and it’ll be interesting to see how much better he gets as the season progresses. He could be in action next when the South Bay Lakers take on the Texas Legends at UCLA Health Training Center on Wednesday at 10 PM ET.
