According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Butler has reportedly made a bold decision regarding his future which sparked the conversation surrounding the 35-year-old again. Charania claims Butler has taken a more aggressive approach to his trade demand which created speculation about his next move. The report from the insider states that the 6 time NBA All-Star has taken his matter to the higher officials of the team.

“Here’s where it’s at, Jimmy Butler has tripled down on his trade request,” Charania said of Butler. “Earlier this month he did it to Pat Riley’s face and then last week he did it to Micky Arison—the team owner, and Nick Arison—the CEO,” Charania added.
Butler recently returned to action after serving a suspension, playing three straight games for Miami. Yet, his performance against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs was underwhelming. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has recently teased Bulter’s ideal destination. In a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq said, “I would like to see him go to Golden State.”
“I like him at Golden State, because when he was at Miami, he used to drive me crazy. He’d get all the way to the lane and kick it out for a three. I’m like, ‘Bro, lay the goddamn ball up!’ That would work in Golden State because of the system they play,” he added.
