At this point, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his family have not been significantly affected by the devastating wildfires that have gripped Southern California. Unlike thousands of L.A. residents who have been displaced and/or lost their homes in the tragedy — including Lakers head coach JJ Redick — James’ Brentwood estate has not been hit by the fires.
This has not, however, stopped LeBron and his family from showing their support for their beloved city. Savannah James, his wife, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a heartfelt message for the city.
“We rebuild together, not by leaving the pain behind but by carrying it alongside the beauty,” the post read. “It’s about making space for both the loss and the hope as we move forward.
“We love you Los Angeles.”

Savannah James shared a post from Let It Break, which is a movement she established with her friends April McDaniel and Porsha Ellis aimed at empowering women everywhere. In her Instagram Story, Savannah James added three heart hands emoji to emphasize the love in her message.
There has been a semblance of normalcy in terms of basketball as LeBron and the Lakers returned to action at Crypto.com Arena on Monday. Unfortunately, the Lakers suffered a 126-102 defeat at the hands of Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
According to CNN, the wildfires in the Palisades have burned more than 23,000 acres and 5,000 structures. It has been ranked as the second-most destructive fire in the history of Southern California. The fires in Eaton, however, have now become the most destructive in history, burning over 14,000 acres and 7,000 structures while claiming the lives of at least 24 people as of writing, per NBC.
