Jimmy Butler insists he wants to leave Miami Heat in tense meeting with Pat Riley

Jimmy Butler’s days in Miami are coming to an end and the tension continues to grow. His 7-game suspension will end this Thursday and they still have not reached an agreement, this punishment was cataloged as “detrimental conduct” after requesting his departure. The reality is that there are many unknowns as to what the team will do with Butler once his punishment ends.

According to ESPN, there was a face-to-face meeting between the Miami Heat star and Pat Riley, president of the franchise. Jimmy was very insistent in asking for a trade. In this conversation, he was very forceful in pointing out that he will not sign another contract withMiami.

However, once his punishment is over, the Heat board will have another meeting with the basketball player. It is expected that they will finally find a solution for both parties. The reality is that Jimmy‘s firm stance makes us believe that it will be very difficult to reach an agreement between them, but we will only have to wait until the weekend to have more news about this talk.

Jimmy’s partners and coach do not want to be part of the drama

It is rare when the Miami environment talks about this topic, because in a way it is a distraction for those who have activity, but in the last few days some gave some statements that will leave more than one thinking.

“This is what we wanted, to get back on the road, to get away from all the chaos. Gather around each other, make it about the guys that are here now. We have enough,” said Tyler Herros in a flash interview after the game against Portland.

Erik Spoelstra, coach of the team has maintained a fairly quiet and calm profile, trying to generate a healthy environment and not divide the team, we will see if that works in a scenario of the end of all this endless story.

Jimmy Butler’s future would be defined in…

Jimmy Butler wants to be traded to the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets, that’s his wish list, multiple sources tell ESPN.

Butler asked for the trade because team brass told him he didn’t try hard enough in the New Year’s Day game against the Pelicans. Before he was suspended, Butler said he wanted to stay with the team while he saw how his thing worked out.

This is the final year of his contract, which pays him $49 million, and he has an option for the 2025/2026 season. The suspension will cost him $2.35 million. The best thing for both parties is to find a solution as soon as possible, clearly Butler’s future with Miami looks far away with Jimmy’s insistence and attitude.

If he ends up leaving, he will undoubtedly be a big loss and a great addition to his next NBA team.
