While the Miami Heat suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games, they’ve agreed to take the six-time All-Star’s trade request seriously.

“The Miami Heat come out of this trade with a revamped roster that keeps them competitive in the Eastern Conference,” Fadeaway World’s Eddie Bitar wrote Thursday.

“Zach LaVine brings dynamic scoring and athleticism to a team that has struggled to generate consistent offense.”

“His ability to create his own shot and hit from beyond the arc makes him an ideal fit alongside Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, giving Miami a new-look big three.”

“Nikola Vucevic adds much-needed size and skill to the Heat’s frontcourt. His 20.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game this season demonstrate his ability to dominate in the paint while also stretching the floor with his three-point shooting.”

“Pairing Vucevic with Bam Adebayo creates one of the most versatile frontcourts in the league, capable of defending, rebounding, and scoring at a high level.”

“Adding Dario Saric as a floor-spacing forward further bolsters Miami’s depth and gives them additional options in their rotation.”

“While losing Jimmy Butler is a blow to their identity, this trade ensures the Heat remain playoff contenders with a balanced roster capable of competing in the East.”

For clarity, the Heat would acquire LaVine, Vucevic, and Saric; the Bulls would acquire Michael Porter Jr., Duncan Robinson, and Zeke Nnaji; and the Nuggets would acquire Butler and Torrey Craig in Bitar’s trade proposal.

LaVine may be unhappy in Chicago, but his play on the hardwood suggests he hasn’t allowed his personal feelings to interfere with his offensive production.

LaVine, a freak athlete with a tremendous feel for the game, averages 22.3 points on 50.3% field goal shooting and 44.4% three-point shooting with the unsatisfactory 15-19 Bulls.

The Heat aren’t performing much better this season, but they possess a respectable culture that could appeal to a displeased phenom in LaVine.

With Butler wanting to leave the Heat and LaVine hoping to part ways with the Bulls, Bitar may be onto something with his fascinating trade idea.
