The Boston Red Sox are still on the prowl for a right-handed bat, but it seems like the options in free agency aren’t to their liking given their hesitancy. This leaves trades as the only option to get what they want.

Play Tessie gave an interesting proposal to get a superstar on both sides of the ball: Carlos Correa. The trade would look like this:

This works well for both teams. For the Sox, they get the right-handed bat they need. Last season, Correa hit .310/.388/..517/.905, with 20 doubles and 14 homers. He also brings stellar defense to the Sox, which they also need. However, since he plays shortstop, Trevor Story would need to move back to second base.

As for the Twins, they get a Gold Glover back in Abreu. He also costs significantly less than Correa, which fulfills part of their offseason plan, to lower their payroll. By doing this trade, they would be cutting off around $30 million off their yearly payroll.

Hopefully, the Sox consider this trade, as it would definitely be something fans would like to see.
