LeBron James Breaks Social Media Silence After Returning to Lakers
LeBron James returned from an odd stint away from the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night to help them pick up a 116-110 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. And on Monday, James made another return, as he ended his social media hiatus with a post that caught fans’ attention.
James spent eight days away from the Lakers, which included him missing a pair of games against the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves. He suited up against the Grizzlies, though, and he ended up having a decent game, as he scored 18 points while hauling in eight rebounds and dishing out eight assists.
It looks like LeBron is returning in more than one way, as he also surprised fans when he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time in nearly a month. The post was in response to a post from the LeBron James Family Foundation congratulating a student from graduating from Kent State.
“Congrats Arianna!!! Continue inspiring others!!” James said in his first post since he announced his social media hiatus.
There’s been a lot of mystery surrounding James as of late, and that continued with this surprising post. Nobody knows why he was away from the Lakers for over a week, or what the extent of his left foot injury is. And now, he’s back on social media after taking nearly a month off from the various platforms he’s a member of.
Will LeBron be returning to social media for good with this post? Nobody really knows, as this could conceivably be a one-off post, or it could be a full-fledged return. Either way, James has all of his fans anxiously awaiting his next move, which goes to show just how big of a superstar he still is after all these years.
Chances are, LeBron is primarily focused on helping the Lakers get back on track after their recent cold stretch, and they certainly took a big step forward against the Grizzlies. Now, they will look to keep up the positive momentum when they take on the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 10 p.m. EST.
