The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks have the chance to pull off one of the biggest trades in the history of the NBA this season.

On Monday, The Ringer’s Bill Simmons pondered what such a trade between the Lakers and Bucks would look like while discussing Giannis Antetokounmpo on a new episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast.

Giannis might request a trade this season if things keep heading south in Milwaukee, and while Simmons himself suggested that either the Brooklyn Nets or Houston Rockets would be the most likely destinations for Antetokounmpo, Simmons also didn’t rule out the Greek Freak landing in Hollywood alongside LeBron James.

“I was thinking like what if it was Anthony Davis and all the rest of the Laker picks, what would the trade have to look like?”

“But it was like this door I didn’t want to open. It was like the door in the attic you don’t want to open because there’s some ghost that’s going to come out.”

AD has been playing like an MVP, and it’s difficult to imagine the Lakers even considering trading him.

At the same time, Davis’s injury history isn’t ideal, and if there were one or two players that Davis could hypothetically be traded for in a fair deal, Antetokounmpo would be one of them.
