Spiegel: I think it’s inevitable as call mount for Eberflus dismissal at year’s end
Matt Spiegel joins the Bears Banter Podcast!
The latest Bears’ Banter Podcast has dropped!
Bill Zimmerman is all of us after the Chicago Bears drop a game to the Washington Commanders in improbable fashion!
He kicks off the podcast with a profanity-laced tirade (It is truly NSFW) about Matt Eberflus, Shane Waldron, and Tyrique Stevenson like you can’t believe.
He also welcomes in The Score’s Matt Spiegel to the podcast. Matt and Bill have a great conversation about what went wrong and where this team needs to head. Spiegel made some eye-popping comments about Eberflus’ job security that truly caught our eye.
“You had an opportunity to get a nice clean slate and start Caleb Williams with an offensive coordinator or an offensive-minded head coach and his hand-picked coordinator and now I think we’re looking at a situation where it’s inevitable that Matt Eberflus is going to be gone at the end of this year, if not before and that probably means they’re going to switch coordinators and from everything we’ve seen from Waldron at this point and him needing to be coached up by the players and an extension of what we’re seeing this week you’re going to have Caleb with a different offensive coordinator in year two,” Spiegel explained.
Spiegel also provides tremendous insight on Waldron, Stevenson, Caleb Williams and plenty of other aspects of how this loss materialized and what it means for the team moving forward.
