Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward continues to be the buzz of college football. Days before the star leads the Canes to take on the Florida State Seminoles, Ward made college football news with an announcement.
Ward is one of the most marketable college football players in the sport. On3.com projects Ward’s NIL value is $2 million, making him the No. 6 ranked college football player in the financial projections.
Miami is a massive 21-point favorite versus Florida State in the Sunshine State rivalry matchup, per Action Network. The Canes are looking to take advantage of the 1-6 Noles’ misfortunes this season.
Ward announced that he has inked an NIL deal with Adidas. The move makes sense given Miami is one of Adidas’ top schools.
“It’s an honor to partner with a brand that sees [my] drive and supports me as I help build the legacy Adidas Football is creating,” Ward told ESPN’s Nick DePaula on Oct. 23.
Adidas likely has their sights set on beginning the partnership now and carrying it over to the NFL once Ward turns pro. The apparel company dropped a video announcing the news featuring Ward working out in Adidas gear.
As Athlon Sports previously discussed, Ward has a chance to be one of the first quarterbacks selected in the 2025 NFL draft.
