Olympic champion Julien Alfred aims to continue her dominance in the 2025 season as she seeks to surpass competitors like Sha’Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas and Shericka Jackson.

Julien Alfred is not done yet as she seeks to continue her winning ways next season, focusing mainly on the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

The reigning Olympic 100m champion has already fired warning shots at her opponents, including Sha’Carri Richardson, Shericka Jackson and other formidable sprinters as she plans to go for the 100m and 200m titles.

With Sha’Carri Richardson being the defending champion in the women’s 100m at the global showpiece, she will have to dig deep for a win since Julien Alfred beat her at the Paris Olympic Games.

Shericka Jackson is also the defending champion in the 200m and she has been out for the better part of the 2023 season. She will also have to put in the work if she has to defend her title with Julien Alfred also making her intentions clear.

“I don’t feel like I have made it yet so I think that alone keeps me pushing and hungry for more. There are accolades that I still want in my life and career like yes, I accomplished an Olympic gold, a world indoor title and I’m the Diamond League winner, I don’t have accolades in the world championships yet in the outdoor,” Julien Alfred told Sports Max TV.

“I don’t have 100m or 200m titles yet, even the 200m title at the Olympics. I feel like I can go after more, leave my legacy behind, pay tribute to those who pour into me, and give back to them in such a way.”

To be lethal, Julien Alfred has some things to work on some aspects of her 100m and 200m to make sure she is ready for the gruelling task awaiting her.

In the 100m, the world indoor champion expressed the desire to improve on her finishing technique with the 200m requiring much work including working on her attitude.

“I think I know what to work on…I have to get stronger, my core and on the track I think that getting stronger mentally and physically is what I need to work on. I’ve spoken about the 200m for a long time and how I feel about it,” Julien Alfred said.

“Coach is going to work with me, on how I feel about the 200m, getting stronger and being more comfortable in running the 200m, so I might do like longer races, I don’t know. It’s trying to get stronger as I approach the 2025 season about the 200m.”
