After he initially broke out his celebration in the 2022 edition of the postseason, Steph Curry’s signature celebration has exploded to an even larger audience after the Golden State Warriors’ point guard used the celebration during Team USA’s run to a gold medal in the Paris Olympics. The celebration has now stretched to the soccer pitch.

On Saturday, futbol superstar Lionel Messi returned to the lineup for Inter Miami in the MLS after missing some time due to an ankle injury. Messi picked up right where he left off, blasting two goals in Miami’s 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union.

Following one of his goals, Messi appeared to pay tribute to Curry with his signature night, night celebration.

Messi and Curry have a history that stretches back to 2015. When Messi reached 30 million followers on Instagram, Curry gifted the Argentinian an autographed Golden State No. 30 jersey. Messi shared a picture of the signed jersey with a post on his Instagram.
