Kentucky offers 5-star guard Jordan Smith
Another top-10 prospect pulls in a UK offer.
The Kentucky Wildcats are now less than a month away from Big Blue Madness, as a new era of UK Basketball will kick off in Rupp Arena.
Mark Pope and his staff have done a tremendous job to this point, especially on the recruiting trail for the class of 2025. Now, they have started to turn their attention to their top prospects in the class of 2026.
We have seen several of the top players in that class receive offers from Kentucky over the past few weeks, and now, we can add another name to that list.
Earlier Monday, 5-star shooting guard Jordan Smith took to Instagram to announce his newest offer from UK. He becomes the eighth player in the class to land an offer from Pope and his staff.
Smith, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard from Fairfax (VA), also has offers from Duke, North Carolina, Houston, Louisville, Michigan, Arizona State, and several others.
Known for his defense, Smith adds another name to the list of top-10 recruits to land an offer from this Kentucky staff. With plenty of questions surrounding this staff at the moment, it appears they are starting to silence the crowd when it comes to recruiting.
After adding Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno this summer, and now the momentum they seem to be having with the 2026 recruits, maybe we will see Smith become one of the guards the staff focuses in on as his junior season of high school tips off.
Smith is currently ranked as the No. 7 player in the class of 2026 by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, and he is considered the No. 3 shooting guard in the class as a whole.
