We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
Rangers striker Danilo is very likely to be available for the game against Hibs on 21 October after his face injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert noted his return to first-team training after the international break as he wore a face mask to prevent the damaged part.
The Brazilian had to undergo surgery as well before he could return to the training ground but he now appears ready to take to the field of play.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He suffered a facial fracture that required surgery so I imagine he will wear a mask when he first gets back in order to protect that area.

“The Hibs game will be nearly a month after the international break so I’d expect him to return then if all else goes to plan.
“His return to training with the mask points towards him keeping it on for a while.“
Danilo moved to Ibrox this summer in a window that saw a number of incomings and outgoings under Michael Beale.
Due to poor league performances, Beale was sacked and Philippe Clement has now come in to replace him.
It remains to be seen what sort of system the Belgian deploys at Ibrox and how Danilo fits into his plans.
There are two or three legitimate options if he goes for a lone striker but playing a two-man front line could see some creative systems being put in place.
