Peter Crouch predicts result for Everton v Liverpool Merseyside derby clash
Peter Crouch has made his prediction for the Merseyside derby clash between Everton and Liverpool at Anfield this weekend.
The Toffees have won three of their last four games, while the Reds enter the game having failed to win either of their last two Premier League games against Tottenham and Brighton.
But when asked by TNT Sports (19 October) for his prediction for the game, the former Liverpool striker admitted that the gap between the two clubs is “very big” right now and he can only imagine a home win on the day.
“Listen, what we always expect is such a good game,” he said.
“I’ve had the pleasure and privilege to play in those games and the atmosphere is always electric.
“Obviously with it being at Anfield it’s going to be a tough ask for Everton and I imagine Liverpool will come out on top.

“The gap at the moment between Liverpool and Everton is very big. Even the most staunch Everton fan will admit that. I can’t see anything other than a Liverpool win.”
Everton are under very minimal, if any, pressure going into this game because absolutely nobody is expecting them to get the job done at Anfield.
Liverpool have the better manager and squad on paper and with their home advantage most are expecting them to stroll to a win, but Sean Dyche has made this team a threat going forward and strong defensively.
There is no doubt that the team will be coming into this game full of confidence, and the fact that the game is in the lunchtime kick-off slot means we have an advantage since Liverpool are constantly complaining about playing at this time.
It’s a chance to catch them cold and get points that nobody is expecting us to pick up, which could go a long way to helping us in our battle against relegation.
There may not be a better time to play them than this weekend at lunchtime, and we can prove everyone including Peter Crouch wrong if we turn up to our potential.
