The latest Aston Villa news as a trip to Villa Park has been ranked as the fifth best in the Premier League following the stadium’s selection to host games for Euro 2028.
Aston Villa are ranked as the club to have the fifth best experience for fans in the Premier League, according to research.
A planned redevelopment of Villa Park could soon see them further climb the table. It is something that could come as good news to the organisers of Euro 2028, with Villa Park as one of the venues that will be used during the tournament.
Bookmakers BetVictor compiled data on 10 different factors important to matchgoing supporters. The data then makes up the fan experience rating, which is scored out of 100.
The factor looked at were: The most expensive season ticket, the cheapest season ticket as well as the costs of the cheapest and most expensive matchday ticket, the stadium utilisation, the atmosphere rating, location rating, stadium view rating, infrastructure rating, and food rating. All those are then put together for a score out of 100.
Villa scored highly on stadium view, matching the best score of 80. Atmosphere, location, and infrastructure all scored 70, while food was given a rating of 60. Those scores meant that Villa had a total score of 75.96.
The score puts Villa in fifth place in the Premier League fan experience table. The club are behind Sheffield United (80.24), Nottingham Forest (78.94), Tottenham (78.06), and Brentford (76.6), but are ahead of the likes of Man City (75.64), Man United (74.44) and Arsenal (70.45).
Luton Town was rated as the worst fan experience in the Premier League with a score of 56.05. Crystal Palace were second bottom with 59.86.
In terms of English football, Villa rank in 11th place. But they could again see that rise following the redevelopment of the stadium over the next couple of years.
