Nuno Tavares injury update as Steve Cooper makes pledge on Nottingham Forest signings
The latest Nottingham Forest news as the Reds will be starting preparations for the Premier League clash against Brentford.
Nottingham Forest put up a good fight against Manchester City on Saturday, but couldn’t take anything from the game, after a 2-0 defeat.
As we enter a new week, eyes are now on the next Premier League clash as they take on Brentford on Sunday afternoon at the City Ground. The Bees fell to a 3-1 defeat against Everton on Saturday, and are in midweek action as they take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Tavares injury latest
Nottingham Forest will assess the fitness of Nuno Tavares as they reflect on their 2-0 defeat at Manchester City.
The defender was forced off in the 40th minute at the Etihad Stadium after he seemed to pull something when making a run forward. He tried to continue after receiving treatment on the pitch but eventually limped off and was replaced by Gonzalo Montiel.
Tavares had endured a tough first start for the Reds as the Premier League champions had a fair bit of joy down his side early on. However, Forest will still be sweating on his fitness as they look ahead to next weekend’s clash with Brentford at the City Ground.
