Barcelona’s goal Tottenham and Aston Villa are reportedly competing with Arsenal for the signing of Barcelona winger Ansu Fati.
The 20-year-old is believed to be a prime target for the Premier League trio and Barcelona could be forced to sell him due to ongoing financial problems.
Just a week ago, Xavi said that Fati is Barcelona’s “present and future” and “part of the club’s legacy.”
However, reports now suggest a sizable bid could see him leave.
The winger made his first appearance for Barcelona when he was just 16 and was always thought to be a superstar in the future.
However, injuries and a lack of consistent minutes hampered his development.
Advertisement has made 111 appearances for the Spanish giants in total, scoring 29 goals and providing 10 assists. As TEAMtalk report,
Arsenal are pushing to sign the youngster before the transfer window closes, with Mikel Arteta believed to be a big fan of theirs.
Tottenham have also been linked with a Fati transfer in the past, so there is certainly no shortage of his signing.
Aston Villa plan triple attack against Barca According to reports from Spain, cited by The Hard Tackle, Aston Villa are firmly in contention for Fati and, as mentioned, Tottenham are also interested.
It is claimed that a deal could be completed for a fee of €50 (£42.9m) as Barcelona look to raise the much-needed transfer funds themselves.
Announcement It’s no secret that the Catalans are currently experiencing financial difficulties and as a result could say goodbye to some of their players before the transfer window closes.
That’s good news from the perspective of Unai Emery, who has already added quality players like Pau Torres, Moussa Diaby, Nicolo Zaniolo and Youri Tielemans to his Aston Villa squad this summer.
Fati could help take the Villains to the next level this season as they prepare to compete in European football for the first time since 2010.
Interestingly, Fati isn’t the only Barcelona player Aston Villa are looking to sign this summer.
Both left-back Marcos Alonso and another winger, Abde Ezzalzouli, have recently been linked with the Midlands club.
With that in mind, it will be interesting to see whether Aston Villa, Tottenham or Arsenal make a concrete offer for Fati in the coming days.Advertisement
